Nokia reportedly is preparing a 10-inch tablet that uses Windows as the operating system RT. The tablet is also rumored to be released in February 2013, to coincide with the conference and exhibition event Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain.
This news comes from Digitimes news portal technology from Taiwan. In the production of tablets, Nokia took Compal Electronics as a manufacturer, designer Qualcomm processor as two core System on Chip (SoC), and of course Microsoft.
There were 200 thousand units of Nokia's Windows tablet ready to ship in the early stages.
Nokia does have a plan to make its own tablet. This was stated by the head of Nokia design, Marko Ahtisaari told Finnish magazine Optio Kauppalethi, March 2012. Ahtisaari said he spends a third of his time to create a tablet. "We worked for it," he said.
To date, the plan has not materialized. According to Digitimes, Nokia delayed the launch of Windows tablets since Microsoft had already Surface tablet market in October 2012.
